We Are All In

We Are Back In

On January 20, 2021, the Biden-Harris administration was inaugurated, ushering in a new age of commitment to climate action. On Day 1 of his presidency, President Joe Biden signed a series of executive orders to protect public health and the environment and restore science to tackle the climate crisis. Among the executive orders on climate is directing the US to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord, for which ASBC and the We Are Still In Campaign have been advocating since our unfortunate withdrawal four years ago.  Other Executive Orders including a suspension of the Keystone XL Pipeline, a moratorium on oil and natural gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and reversals of Trump administration environmental rollbacks. Now is the time for America to go ALL in on climate and build back fossil free.

Rejoining the Paris Climate Accord was an important first step for the US to re-establish itself as a global climate leader. Now we must take further, long-term action to secure ourselves a sustainable future. That is why Congress must work alongside President Biden to enact ambitious and long-lasting climate policy solutions.

We Are Still In Campaign

On Earth Day 2018, We Are Still In launched a new campaign to increase commitment to climate action. ASBC worked with the We Are Still In coalition to develop the commitments for small and medium businesses (generally defined as businesses with less than $500M in annual revenue). The range of commitment areas include understanding your greenhouse gas emissions; increasing energy efficiency and/or renewable power; removing climate impacts from your supply chain, packaging, and transportation; reducing other climate pollutants; and getting engaged in community resilience and climate policy efforts.
