On April 13, ASBN held a webinar with SEC Director Renee Jones who gave an update on the proposed SEC Climate Disclosure rules. Director Renee Jones started the webinar with explaining the proposed rules and it finished with a Q&A where the audience got answers to their questions in an open forum.
ASBN applaudes the approval of Judge Brown Jackson
ASBN was very outspoken in our support of Judge Jackson. We highlighted the need for diversity, especially in areas of authority like the Supreme Court. This is a small but necessary step in the right direction. Judge Jackson’s diverse professional experiences and as a Black woman in the U.S. as well as strong breadth of experience in the legal field are of immeasurable value to a Court that has historically not reflected the diversity of the population it serves.
