Profile

Matt Patsky is CEO, managing partner and a portfolio manager for Trillium’s Sustainable Opportunities and Global Equity strategies.  His three decades of experience in investment research and investment management began as a technology analyst for Lehman Brothers. In 1989, while covering emerging growth companies for Lehman, Patsky began incorporating environmental, social, and governance factors into his research. In 1994, he became the first sell-side analyst in the U.S. to publish on the topic of socially responsible investing. Later, at Adams, Harkness & Hill, he served as director of equity research, building that firm’s research capabilities in renewable energy, resource optimization, and organic and natural products. Prior to joining Trillium, Matt was at Winslow Management Company in Boston, where he served as director of research, chair of the Investment Committee, and portfolio manager for Green Solutions Strategy and  Winslow Green Solutions Fund.

Patsky is a board member of Environmental League of Massachusetts and Shared Interest.  He has also served on the boards of Pro Mujer, US SIF, and Root Capital.  He is a member of Social Venture Circle (SVC) and CFA Society Boston, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
