Media Release

Washington, DC – The American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN) announced today the appointment of new co-chairs of its board of directors and the opening of its long-awaited annual conference ASBN 2021: Restore. Regenerate. Re-imagine.

“The new board chairs, Seungah Jeong, CEO of MPOWERD, and Valerie Red-Horse Mohl, CEO and founder of Red-Horse Financial Group, are very familiar with our mission and work and reflect our commitment to diversity across our organization,” said Jeffrey Hollender, CEO of ASBN.  “We are deeply grateful to Seungah and Val for stepping up and to MaryAnne Howland who has served as chair during the merger of ASBC and SVC and many other strategic evolutions of the organization, which position us for continued growth for the benefit of our stakeholders and society at large.”

The three-day conference, which opens today, exists to accelerate ASBN’s work towards creating an economy that works for all: one that is regenerative, equitable, and creates shared prosperity through our businesses, investments, and activities. As the combined entities of ASBC and SVC, ASBN has a uniquely potent ability to build the large-scale movement of profound economic and public policy change the world so desperately needs.

More than 250 attendees are registered and arrive beginning today in San Diego. “The conference agenda is packed, blending engaging main stage sessions, action-oriented breakout workshops, one-on-one peer advising, a live pitch event, small peer groups, and lots of time to connect and build relationships with fellow attendees,” said Isaac Graves, COO of ASBN, who led the conference production team. “The moment we realized we could safely produce an in-person conference we organized what our members and stakeholders ask for most - actionable ways to restore, regenerate, and re-imagine themselves, their business, and the systems that shape our economy.” The full agenda is available at https://svcimpact.org/conference.

The conference is in part due to the generous support of Presenting SponsorsHansonBridgett and Trillium Asset Management, as well as Leadership Sponsors: Amalgamated Bank, Avocado Green Mattress, Ben & Jerry’s, Bromberger Law, Brown Venture Group, Dole Packaged Foods, ECOS, GoodCarts, Green Mountain Power, ImpactMakers, King Arthur Baking Company, Patagonia, Seventh Generation.
