1 Worker 1 Vote supports the creation, building, and launching of unionized worker cooperatives and initiatives across the country under the 2009 USW-Mondragon “one worker, one vote” collaboration framework. These union coops are based on the Mondragon principles dedicated to overcoming income inequality by growing equal share equity for workers, fomenting solidarity, and building local living economies. 1 Worker 1 Vote aims to build a national network of unionized worker-owned cooperative businesses to help foster a culture of intercooperation. 1 Worker 1 Vote provides technical assistance to members, via a network of union cooperative funders and supporters, and educates the public about the potential of the union coop model.
