Each year at its national Sustainable Business & Advocacy Summit, ASBC presents the Sustainable Leaders Award to a combination of members of Congress, Administration official, ASBC members and/or a journalist. The Award recognizes foresight and commitment shown by public and private sector leaders in championing public policies that help build a more just, inclusive and sustainable economy.
Criteria for the Award
The American Sustainable Business Council (ASBC), a Washington, D.C.-based national policy and advocacy organization working with leading companies to build a sustainable economy. Now more than ever, sustainable companies are leading the way in addressing social, environmental, and economic issues beyond their own operations.

We’re looking for passionate, energetic, and talented internship candidates to help us to build a vibrant, just, and sustainable economy. Your role will give you an opportunity to learn about policy development and policy advocacy while developing and promoting ASBC’s initiatives, and informing the business community, policy makers, and the public about sustainability. We’re looking for individuals who can write well, have good research skills, are facile with social media and interested in sustainability and politics.
